Fire gutted huge quantity of readymade textile items, chemicals and textile materials of a export oriented towel factory named GF Textiles Limited located at Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) under CEPZ thana on Wednesday night. lGF Textile is a towel manufacturing company .
Mohammad Yeahiya, Assistant Director of Chittagong Fire Service Station, said the fire originated around 9.27pm. Fire brigade personnel with the help of locals doused the flame around 11.20 pm, he added.The reason, he said, behind the fire could not be ascertained immediately.
