The two-day long Bangladesh International Medical Students’ Scientific Congress (BIMSSCon) 2016 at Institute of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh was concluded on Saturday.
International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA) organised the programme.
National Professor Brigadier (Rtd) Dr Abdul Malik inaugurated the programme while Dean of Faculty of Medicine of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Professor ABM Abdullah was present as the special guest.
In the closing session, Secretary to the Land Ministry Mesbah Ul Alam was present as the chief guest.
Dr Abdul Malik said, the event will act as a medium for exchanging ideas and information on important scientific & health issues.
This programme would help the delegates to get the idea of post-graduation and higher study option in home and abroad, he said.
The speakers from various sectors emphasised on the importantance of different public health issues and aspects of emergency medicine.
It may be mentioned that a total of 700 students from Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia, Philippines, Nigeria, Sudan and Thailand took part in the BIMSSCon) 2016.
