The 53rd death anniversary of Tofazzal Hossain Manik Mia, legend journalist and the founder editor of the daily Ittefaq, was observed in Sylhet on Thursday.
On the occasion, a discussion meeting and dowa mahfil were organized at the Judge Court Jame Mosque in Sylhet.
The programme was attended, among others, by Chairman of Islamic Unity, President of Bangladesh Nezame Islam Party Advocate Maulana Abdur Rakib, The New Nation’s Sylhet bureau chief SA Shofiee, Central President of Corruption Eradication Bangladesh Forum Advocate Nasir Uddin, Chairman of Sylhet Division Gonakalyan Trust Maulana Abdul Malik Chowdhury, Secretary General Maulana Mahmudul Hasan, Advocate Moinul Haque, Advocate Abdullah, Advocate Ruhul Amin, Assistant Advocate Abdul Quddus, Rafiq Ahmed, Dildar Ahmed and others.
Maulana Abdul Malik Chowdhury conducted the dowa mahfil.
