Muggers stabbed a businessman and snatched Tk 8,000 and two mobile phone sets from him in the city’s Sayedabad area early Sunday.
The victim is Jahangir Alam, a resident of Bangshal. He is now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and
Hospital (DMCH), said Inspector Mozammel Haque, in-charge of DMCH police camp.
“A gang of muggers attacked Jahangir with sharp weapons after intercepting his rickshaw near Sayedabad level crossing around 5:30am. They snatched two mobile sets and Tk 8,000 from him after random stabbing,” the police official said.
The local people recovered him and sent to the DMCH instantly.
