The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Tuesday announced Tk 2041.87 crore budget for fiscal year 2014-15.
Administrator of DNCC Md Faruk Jalil announced the budget at Uttara Community Center in the presence of its officials and journalists.
He also announced a revised budget of Tk 1009.57 crore for the fiscal year 2013-2014.
Government grants and tax to be paid by the city dwellers have been considered as the main sources of income in the proposed budget.The revenue income of the DNCC has been estimated at Tk 853 crore while Tk 1103.50 crore is estimated to come from the government grants and projects assistance form foreign countries. A maximum amount of Tk 577.15 crore will be spent for the development sector while the second highest Tk 110 crore for wages, salaries and allowances of the employees.
