Robi organized Beach Cricket with Bangladesh National Cricket team players at the Seagull Beach in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday.
Star cricketers from the National Cricket team Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal, Rubel Hossain and Nasir Hossain took part in the fun-filled cricket match next to the Bay of Bengal. Team Rubel and Tamim beat team Team Nasir and Mushfiq in the match.
The beach cricket involving national team players became a major draw for the tourists in Cox’s Bazar as they thronged the Seagull Beach to watch the match.
Robi Beach Cricket took place following the end of a unique SMS based quiz campaign. Once a user registered for this campaign he or she had to answer to quiz questions. For every correct answer a user could score 1 run and for every wrong answer one scored 0 run.
Ten (10) winners with the highest runs scored in the campaign took part in the Beach Cricket with the star players from the national cricket team. As declared during the campaign, one guest from each of the 10 winners of the quiz contest also took part in the beach cricket match by the Bay.
Robi Beach Cricket campaign started on February 14 and finished on March 29.
Robi’s Vice President for M-Technologies & Solutions, Digital Service Viranga Seneviratne; Vice President, Khandaker Ashraful Haque, Brand and Market Communication, General Manager, Value Added Service (VAS), Mahmood Hassan Faisal and Shahana Parvin Shikha, Manager, VAS were present on the occasion.
