Sports Reporter :The rain interrupted lone Test match between Bangladesh and India is likely to end in tame draw. Bangladesh scored 111 for the loss of three wickets in the first innings on the fourth day play before rain halted the Bangladesh’s innings at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Saturday. Bangladesh are now 351 runs behind from India’s 1st innings total.Earlier, India declared their first innings making 462 for the loss of six wickets on the fourth day.Bangladesh had a shaky start as they lost their first wicket for 27 runs.Opener Tamim Iqbal was stumped out by wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha off Ravichansran Ashwin for 19 runs. Tamim Iqbal is now the highest scorer of any Bangladesh batsman. Tamim scored 3039 playing 40 Test matches with seven centuries and 17 half centuries. Earlier, Habibul Bashar was the highest Test run-getter of Bangladesh. Bashar scored 3026 runs playing 50 Test matches. After dismissal of Tamim Iqbal, opener Imrul Kayes and Mominul Haque repaired the early damage contributing together 81 runs before Mominul Haque was caught at the mid-off by Umesh Yadav off Harbhajan Singh when Bangladesh’s score was 108 for the loss of two wickets.Then Mushfiqur Rahim was caught by Rohit Sharma off Ravichandran Ashwin for just two runs when the team’s total was 110 for the loss of three wickets.Imrul Kayes remained unbeaten with 59 off 98 balls featuring three fours. It was Imrul’s third Test half century.Mominul Haque scored 30 from 54 balls with four shots through the ropes.Shakib Al Hasan was on naught before the rain halted the fourth day play. Ravichandran Ashwin bagged a pair of wickets at the cost of 30 runs while Harbhajan Singh took one wicket for 23 runs.
