Three players are sharing lead in the points table with maximum 4 points each after 4th round games of the Gazi Habibur Rahman International Rating Chess Tournament is now being held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-Room.
They are: GM Ziaur Rahman of Dhaka Mohmammedan Sporting Club Limited, IM Minhaz Uddin of Bangladesh Navy and FM Mehdi Hasan Parag of Leonine Chess Club.
FM Mohammad Javed, Shawkat Hossain Pollab, Uten, CM Mahtabuddin Ahmed, Abdullah Al-Saif, FM Rezaul Haque, S M Sharon and P J Bakul Barua are sharing 2nd position with 3½ points each.
The 4th round games were held yesterday (Thursday).
In the 4th round games: Zia beat CM Sohel Chowdhury, Minhaz beat Masum Hossain, Parag beat Ikramul Haq Siam, Uten drew with Reza, Mahtab drew with Sharon, Pollab beat FM Md Saif Uddin Lavlu, Javed beat Minhazul Alam, Saif beat Shahnaz Mohammad Faruk , Bakul beat Shafiq Ahmed and Almsur Rahman drew with Amir Hossain.
The 5th round games will start today (Friday) from 3.00 pm at the same venue.
