Three people including two brothers were killed in a head- on collision between an auto rickshaw and a road roller in Pagla area under Gafargaon upazila of the district this afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Kafil Uddin, 45, hailed from Gararon village in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur district, his brother Amir Uddin, 55, and Nayeb Ali, 75.
Officer-in-Charge of Pagla police station Rasheduzzaman said the accident occurred at around 1 pm in Ahaliartek area on Sreepur-Trimohoni Road. Nayeb Ali died on the spot while Kafil Uddin and Amir Uddin died on the way to hospital.
Six people were injured in this accident who were admitted to Sreepur Upazila Health Complex in Gazipur. A case is being processed to file. Police seized the auto rickshaw and the road roller.
