A teenage girl was allegedly killed after raped by unidentified miscreants in the city’s Pallabi area on Saturday night.
The victim was identified as Tania Akhter, (16), police said. Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) Police Outpost Inspector Mozammel Haque said that the victim’s mother returned at 10:30pm and saw her daughter’s body lying on the floor with several injury marks.
Tania was brought to DMCH at night where on-duty doctors declared her dead, the police official said.
Her mother claimed that Tania might have been raped before murder.
A case was filed in this connection.
