Staff Reporter :The Education Ministry has decided to provide jeeps to 32 technical schools and colleges for training purpose. The Ministry will hand over 32 jeeps to the institutions on March 28, sources said. The Secretary of the Education Ministry Md Nazrul Islam Khan said that the jeeps would be useful for the students of the technical colleges. The ministry officials said that the jeeps would be used for imparting training to the students. After getting applications from different technical schools and colleges, the Ministry decided to respond to the request. The Ministry will provide jeeps to all the technical schools and colleges phase by phase.But the names of the technical institutions, which are going to get the jeeps first could not be immediately known opportunity at the outset. There are 49 polytechnic institutions, 64 technical schools and colleges and two engineering colleges in the country.
