The 17th death anniversary of Tebhaga movement leader Hemanta Sarker was observed in greater Jessore on Sunday.
Several programmes were chalked out by National Democratic Front to mark the day.
The programmes include placing floral wreath at the grave and discussion meeting. Hemanta Sarker was born in 1916 at Barenda village under Narail sadar upazila and died on 28th December 1998 at the age of 82.
