Finland-born Bangladeshi footballer Tariq Raihan Kazi got injury when he was taking part in the practice session at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday. Tariq showed a satisfactory performance when he was practising under the supervision of Head Coach Jamie Day. But ill-fated Tariq’s participation in the FIFA international friendly matches appears fading. Bangladesh will play two FIFA international friendly matches against Nepal on November 13 and November 17.
As Tariq was injured he left the coaching camp and he went to his club tent of Bashundhara Kings. Tariq Raihan have to wait some time to play for Bangladesh’s red-and-green jersey.
Though Tariq Raihan became a youth in Finland but he have a dream to play for Bangladesh. But he could not do that due to injury.
Tariq was called in the national camp for the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023 matches. But the matches were postponed due to coronavirus outbreak.
Tariq said, “There is a tear in the groin. I would like to thank all the coaches and players here at the national team for making me feel so warm. I had a great time with all of them. Everything has worked out brilliantly here at the camp. Now my dreams are postponed but see you soon.” Earlier, Mamunul Islam Mamun and Tutul Hossain Badsha left the national camp. Mamunul Islam Mamun’s wrist was fractured when he was participating at the practice session and Badsha has been suffering from illness.
