On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, popular singer of play-back and modern songs Shahnaz Rahman Swikriti released her new song titled Chondraboti under the banner of Dhruba Music Station recently. Sudip Kumar Dip wrote lyrics of the song. Shawkat Ali Emon composed the tune and Ali Ahsan Liton made music video of the song. Swikriti has already passed two decades of her professional career in music, according to the singer.
Swikriti is delighted about releasing her new song in Eid. While sharing her feelings in this regard she said, “With Allah’s blessing I have recovered from illness. There is a lot of pray for me from all. It’s my great achievement. Under the composition of respected Shawkat Ali Emon Bhai, I lent my voice for many play-back songs, which also got popularity. This time under his musical arrangement, I have rendered the song Chondraboti. In fact, I am very much optimistic about the song. Emon Bhai gave huge effort for this song. I believe listeners of all classes will enjoy the song Chondraboti.”
Swikriti also said, “My daughter Protyasha will be also seen in the music video of the song. So, I have a lot of expectation about the song.”
In 2000, Swikriti’s debut album titled Hridoyer Shihoron was released under the banner of Soundtek. Later, her solo albums Ki Maya Lagaili, Aamar Swapno Tumi, Bondhu, Pirite Mojaiya, and Hason Raja’s songs based an album were released under the banner of Sangeeta. In 2002, she started her play-back career through lending her voice for three songs for Riaz and Purnima-starrer movie Mayer Somman, directed by Gazi Jahangir.
Swikriti mentioned that she started her play-back career with the hands of late Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul. She got primary lesson in music from her elder sister Ferdousi Rahman, who is now residing in USA, and mother Romisa Rahman. Later, in different times, she received training from Bhobesh Mondol, Bazlur Rahman Bablu and Helal Ahmed in Naogaon and from Belal Hossain in Bogura, from Sunil Kumar Mondol and Khondokar Nurul Alam in Dhaka, Swikriti added.
