A 29-member comprising under-16 and under-18 boys teams of Sunnydale School, representing Bangladesh in the Partille Cup Age Group Handball competition, will leave for Sweden on Sunday (July 2) to take part in the competition scheduled to be held on July 3-8 in Gothenburg, the second-largest city of Sweden.
On eve of the departure, the players and officials of the two teams made a courtesy call to the officials of Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium on Friday.
BHF president AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul, its vice-president Ahasan Ullah Khan Rana, general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, assistant general secretaries SM Khalekuzzaman Swapan and M Salahuddin, treasurer Jahangir Hossain and advisor of BHF and RAJUK chairman Abdur Rahman were present on the occasion.
A total of 890 teams from 42 countries will take part in this year’s Partille Cup, the largest and most international youth handball tournament in the world.
