Fahiha Lamisa Suchona and Popy Akhter of Bangladesh reached the girls singles final of the Bengal Plastic Asian 14/U Series Tennis Tournament eliminating their rivals in the semifinals at the Ramna National Tennis Complex here on Wednesday.
Suchona beat Sadia Akter of Bangladesh 6-2, 6-3 while Popy Akter defeated her compatriot Ety Akter 6-2, 6-2 to play the final today.
In the boys’ singles, Swadhin Hossain (BAN) beat Aurnab Saha (BAN) 1-6,
6-0, 6-1; Mohammad Ishtiaq (BAN) beat Mehdi Hasan (BAN) 6-2, 6-1; Tamin Bin Zahid (BAN) beat Naimul Islam (BAN) 2-6, 6-3, 6-0 while Zubin Omar (BAN) beat Faridur Reza (BAN) 6-4, 6-4 to reach the semifinals.
