A Dhaka court on Sunday set June 26 as the date for submission of the probe report in the case filed in connection with the murder of journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debabrata Biswas passed the order on yesterday as the Rapid Action Battalion, (RAB)
did not submit the probe report on Sunday. This is the 65th occasion, the prosecution could not submit the report in the case.
Sagar, news editor of private TV station Maasranga, and his wife Runi, senior reporter of ATN Bangla, were murdered at their rented flat in the capital’s West Rajabazar area on February 11, 2012.
The eight accused in the case are- Enam Ahmed alias Humayun Kabir, Rafiqul Islam, Bakul Mia, Mintu alias Bargira Mintu alias Masum Mintu, Kamrul Hasan Arun, Polash Rudra Paul, Tanvir and Abu Sayeed.
