AKM Shofi Ahmed Solman, Joint Secretary of Kulaura Upazila Awami League has been contesting as a candidate of Upazila Parishad election from Kulaura Upazila in Moulovibazar.
He has a clean image and hailed from Awami League family. He is a former chairman of Kadipur Union Parishad for three times. He is chairman of Kulaura Poli Clinik and Principal of Ideal School & College, Hasampur Dakhil Madrasha and Kulaura Girls High School. He was the Editor and Publisher Popular weekly Kulaurar Dak Patrika. On that time, he was active to promote the spirit of Joy Bangla in Moulavibazar area in BNP-Jamaat’s time.
During the party’s crisis period he led the Bangladesh Awami League in Moulvibazar area.
When asked A.K.M Shofi Ahmed Salman said, daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Hasina will decide the candidature of the party and we will follow the instructions.
He said, from the instruction I am now to join competition in the Upazila election by Pineapple Symbol. Now I get huge response from voters. He further said, eliminating of drugs, terrorism, and water-logging is my main focus. Besides, Public University, ICT & Technology based university will be set up in the Kulaura area.
Koloti Baori, a tea worker of Kaliti tea garden said, after election Kamrul can’t visit our area. But Solman visited in our sorrowful days.
