A team of Norcotics Control Department arrested a trafficker with 150 gold bars in Rajshahi on Monday .
They were arrested from Sultanganj area of Godagari Upazila at around when he was going to Chapainawabganj from Dhaka. The arrestee is identified as Liton Ali Sheikh (30). He is from Janpur village in Sirajganj. Some 150 pieces of gold bar has recovered from the bus. Itis confirmed that this gold’s has been smuggled from India. The estimated cost of gold is Tk 75 lakh . Deputy Director of Rajshahi Norcotics Control Department Mohammad Lutfar Rahman told to reporters that Liton is a gold smuggler and he has arrested with 150 gold bars. He has arrested with gold bars while running an anti- drug campaign.
A necessary measure has being taken against him. Deputy director Mohammed Lutfar Rahman said, the secret was that a bigger ship from Chittagong to Chapainawabganj was going to Chittagong. on the basis of that news, the gold shipment was detected in search of yaba. This matter is under the necessary arrangement.
