Skin of spotted deer recovered

Joint force of the Forest Guards of the Western Division of Sundarban forest and the Coast Guards recovered raw skins of 4spotted deer of the forest from Koira Upazila on Saturday noon.
Forest Department sources said , acting on a secret information forester Rajab Ali Molla of Burigalini forest station officer and Md. Mokbul Hossain, Petty Officer of Angtihara Coastguard Station Office (of the Western Zone) accompanied with both the forest guards and coastguards raided the village Dumuria within Gabura Union under Koira Upazila in Khulna district and recovered 4 raw skins of deer from a storehouse of paddy belonging to Ahad Ali Gazi, son of one late Jonab Ali Gazi of the village. But no body was arrested a that time in connection with the incident. In this connection a case was lodged with the local PS under Forest Act against Ahad Ali Gazi.
It may be mentioned here that there are a number of organized gangs of poachers around the forest and they hunt deer with the collaboration of some dishonest forest employees and sell their flesh, skins, horns and head of else where at high prices.
