A teenage sister-in-law is currently five months pregnant at Bhaluka Mymensingh after rape.
The incident took place in Dhalia village of Dhitpur union of the upazila.
The student’s elder sister has filed a case against her brother-in-law Manik Chandra Debnath on Thursday night.
Manik Chandra Debnath is the son of late Abani Chandra Debnath from Bighagra village in Rajibpur union of Ishwaganj upazila of the district.
Meanwhile, police arrested Manik Debnath soon after the case. He was sent to court on Friday and the teenage girl was also sent to court to testify.
According to police and case sources, Manik Chandra Debnath married the teenage sister of the girl student of Dhalia village in Bhaluka upazila 10-11 years ago. After marriage, he settled at his father-in-law’s house.
But a few days ago, as her sister delivered the student used to go to her brother-in-law Manik Debnath’s house and cook. Almost every occasion, the brother-in-law would occasionally touch the sensitive part of her body. When the child told him to reveal the matter, Manik used to scare her in various ways. In this situation, on March 26, the girl went to sleep at her sister’s house.
Then Manik Debnath threatened and raped the child that night. Later, Manik had sexual intercourse with the student more than once in the same manner. At one stage, the student became pregnant.
Bhaluka Model Police Station OC Main Uddin said, a case has been registered in the connection. The accused in the case Manik Chandra has been arrested and sent to Mymensingh Jail through the court.
