Comeback kings Sheikh Russell KC made a good start in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier Football League beating Brothers Union Club by 2-1 goals in their first match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Monday.
Kawser put the Gopibagh outfit Brothers ahead in the 16th minute and maintained the lead till 79th minute of the match.
But, two late goals by national striker Zahid Hasan Emily in the 80th and by Paul in the 84th minute, guided the former league champions Sheikh Russell KC toward victory.
After the day’s outcome, Sheikh Russell KC have secured full three points from one match while Brothers Union Club bagged one point from two league encounters after making a goalless draw with Team BJMC.
