Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif called upon the people to be united under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for building a developed country free of poverty and discrimination, said an official handout here Thursday. “It is no more an unreachable dream to become a developed country under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina as the country has already become a role model of developing nation and is being recognized as a happy and prosperous one”, said the minister. The land minister made this comment as a chief guest while addressing an Iftar Mahfil, organized by the Ishwardi Upazila and Poura Awami League, at local Plaza Community centre here on Wednesday. The minister called upon the people irrespective of all spheres to carry out work under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina for transforming the country into a developed one.
Around five thousand muslim devotees including representatives from civil societies, officials from administration, media workers, freedom fighters and numerous leaders and activists of the ruling Awami League and its associate bodies, among others, were present.
