Serifa Kader, adviser to Jatiya Party chairman, has submitted nomination paper to the Election Commission showing her candidacy against a vacant reserved seat in the parliament.
She placed the nomination paper to Election Commission’s Joint Secretary Md Abul Kashem at 11am on Thursday.
Serifa is president of Lalmonirhat district Jatiya Party and Jatiya Sangskritik Party.
Deadline for submitting nomination paper is October 17 while scrutiny of the nomination paper will be held on October 18. Last date for withdrawal of candidacy is October 23.
