Kishoreganj District Police has taken tight security measures in the district town and its adjoining areas for ensuring a pleasant Eid-ul-Azha celebration scheduled to be held on August 22.
Two years ago militant attacks Sholakia, Gulshan and others area in the country. Law enforce with beef up security before after the great religious festival of the Muslim respectively in the district town and upazila headquarters of the district.
The decision to adopt strong security measures at a district review meeting of Law and Order at DC conference room with District Magistrate Md. Sarowar Morshed Cowdhury in the chair.
Police Super, BGB Commander, RAB- 14, Kishoreganj Camp Commander, Civil Surgeon, Upazila Chairmans, UNOs and Sholakia Eidgha Management Committee were also presnet and addressed the meeting.
The meeting has decided not to allow setting up of makeshift cattle markets except the approved place by then local administration.
Police Super Md. Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury BPM said that a three-tier Security arrangement has been taken up in the town and upazila areas ahead of the upcoming the Eid-ul-Azha.
The police and RAB ensure security to all the buyers and sellers at the cattle markets.
To make the security effective the police setup a control room at Sholakia cattle market in the in the town. Special attention would be given to securing areas in and around the cattle markets .
Foolproof security measures have also been ensured by the district police to keep law and order situation under control in and around at all cattle markets.
As part of other security measures, RAB would set up close-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, spy sunglass, counterfeit currency detestation machines at the cattle markets.
Police will also patrol at all vulnerable roads and highway points to check extortion, snatching, pick-pocketing, harassment of the cattle traders and buyers,” Police Super Khaled added.
