An SSC examinee was died from electrocution at Karimganj upazila in Kishoreganj on Sunday evening. The victim deceased as Samiul Islam (16), son of Mazibur Rahman, a resident of Karimganj municipality. He was SSC examinee at Karimganj Pilot Model High School.
Police and local sources, Samiul started working in construction building as the school was closed due to Covid-19 pandemic. He came in contact with electric wire while working in Nanashri Mudir Bazar, leaving him critically injured.
Locals rushed him to Karimganj Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
Karimganj Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Maminul Islam told the New Nation that an unnatural death case was filed in this connection.
