Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh (SCBB) has recently disbursed its first Home Loan to a Non Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) customer. This follows steps by Bangladesh Bank to ease the regulations governing the disbursement of home loans to NRBs, said a press release.
Speaking on the occasion, Aditya Mandloi, Head of Retail Banking of SCBB, said “We are excited to be able to offer our Home Loan products to Non Resident Bangladeshis. This will greatly ease the process of home ownership for NRBs, with minimum paperwork and expert guidance every step of the way.”
SCBB’s NRB Home Loans can finance up to 50% of property value or a maximum of BDT 12 Million, at an attractive rate as low as 8.75%, with a maximum tenure of 25 years.
