Saudi FM arrives today

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud will arrive in Dhaka today for strengthening bilateral partnership and enhancing business investments here.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen would welcome his counterpart at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the afternoon on Tuesday.
Early on Wednesday, Momen and Prince Faisal are scheduled to hold a bilateral political consultation between the two friendly countries and talk about different arenas of investments.
Soon after the tete-a-tete meeting, the Saudi Foreign Minister and Dr Momen will join the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Arabic Language Institute.
Later, Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman will host a lunch in honor of Prince Faisal.
Saudi Foreign Minister, according to his schedule, will also meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during his brief visit. The Saudi Foreign Minister, before his departure on Wednesday afternoon, will sign a number of cooperation documents.
Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Essa Yussef Essa Al Dulaihan recently told the media that Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia were looking for stronger political ties and investment relations.
He further said that the relations between the two countries would be a ‘dynamic partnership’.
Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh, during a recent media briefing, also expressed his country’s desire to invest extensively here.
The envoy, during the briefing, also said that Engineering Dimensions, a Saudi Arabian Enterprise, confirmed $1.8 billion investment in Bangladeshi.
Saudi Arabia has also desire to establish a special economic zone and considering scopes to invest in the construction of rail links connecting Dhaka and Payra port, including the development of Cox’s Bazar as an international tourist destination.
