Santal women brought out a procession with arrows, bamboo sticks, bowls and knives and others domestic arms to protest the vandalizing of boundary-pillars of Rangpur Sugar Mills in Gobindaganj upazila in Gaibandha district on Thursday.
The also arranged a rally in front of the sugar mills and demanded their rehabilitation and right to live.
The agitated men claimed that they had been passing inhuman lives due to lack of necessary foods and clothes in the winter as they were evicted from their lands.
They requested the police and local administration to ensure security.
