Chairperson of National Advisory Council on Neurodevelopment Disorder and Autism Saima Wazed Hossain laid emphasise on coordinated efforts of offices affiliated to Women and Children Affairs Ministry for ensuring development of women and children. “Women and Children Affairs Ministry is implementing different development activities for children and women. Offices affiliated to the ministry should work coordinately to accelerate the activities of the ministry,” she said this on Monday while addressing a view-exchange meeting at Shishu Academy here. Women and Children Affairs Ministry and Shuchona Foundation jointly organised the meeting.
Saima Wazed, also Chairman of Shuchona Foundation, and WHO’s Goodwill Ambassador for Autism in South-East Asia region, addressed it as the chief guest, said an official press release.
Secretary of the Women and Children Affairs Ministry Nasima Begum presided over the programme attended by Shishu Academy Chairman and novelist Selina Hossain and Director Anjir Liton and officials of Women and Children Affairs Ministry, Finance Ministry, Cabinet Division and Shuchona Foundation, the press release added.
