National Film Award winner actress and model Rumana Khan gave birth to a baby girl in New York, USA early in the morning of October 22. It is her first baby. Rumana is excited and delighted in this regard. While sharing her feelings she told this correspondent from USA over mobile phone, “After giving birth, I have completed my motherhood. My eyes are filled up with joyful tears. Specially my husband and members of his family and my mother became delighted in this regard. I am grateful to Allah for giving me a well baby. My friends Monalisa, Kona, among others are also happy for this. Everybody pray for my baby, Avanka, which means powerful.”
Rumana tied the nuptial knot with Elin Rahman on 7 August, 2015. In New York, USA along with Rumana, her mother and brother’s family are staying there. “I am Bangladeshi. It’s my main identity. If I manage time I along with my baby will visit Bangladesh,” Rumana also said.
Rumana got the National Film Award for Jakir Hossain Razu’s Bhalobashley Ghor Bandha Jaina. She was last seen on the screen against Apurba in a TV play directed by Rahmatullah Tuhin.
