Rajshahi, February 08: A group of students of Rajshahi University on Monday noon demanded 5 points including opening residential halls and activating academic activities in a human chain held at Paris road of the university.
The 5 points are opening campus and residential halls by February, providing examinations routine of different years by March, completing stuck examinations quickly, completing academic activities by shortening syllabus, waiving residential hall fees and reducing 50% of all fees of the students for the COVID-19 period.
Addressing the human chain the speakers said, This university is an autonomous institution. The university authority is enough to start academic activities. Everything is running normally in this country except educational institutions, thus why we are going to face a great loss. Therefore, we want reopening academic halls and activating academic activities as early as possible.
Population Science and Human Resource Management department student Amanullah Aman conducted the human chain while Mustafizur Rahman, Mohabbot Hossain Milon, Shakil, Abdullah, Abid, among others spoke.
