The ‘Robi Khoj Spinner campaign’ reaped rich harvest as near about 124 spinners were selected after the completion of the second phase.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Robi have successfully completed the second phase of Khoj the No.1 Spinner campaign in Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Comilla and Faridpur. Afterward the nation-wide talent hunt initiative for the prospective spinners, the campaign has so far selected 105 male and 19 female spinners for the third phase.
The shortlisted male and female spinners from the first phase are competing with each other in their respective divisional trial session venues.
The last divisional selection will be held in Dhaka and Rajshahi on the 14th March. The third phase (From 20th to 27th March) will be of residential in nature.
It will be held at the National Cricket Academy. BCB central technical team will be in charge of the talent selection process at this phase. Robi will provide all the logistics support.
The spinners selected from the second phase will be put through some grueling fitness test with thorough analysis of their bowling action with the help of video analysis. At the end of this phase the winners of the competition will be declared.
