A gang of robbers stabbed to kill a farmer at Uttar Chandpara under Bagharpara upazila in Jessore early Saturday.
The dead was identified as Anwar Hossain, 45, farmer of Uttar Chandpara under Bagharpara upazila.
Nazrul Islam, brother of the victim told that Anwar died at Jessore Medical College Hospital in the morning after being stabbed by a gang of robber at around 2am on Saturday. ‘His wife Setara Begum, brother Hafizur Rahman and I were wounded in the attack’, he added.
Sub inspector Fakir Pannu of Bagharpara police station told that the robbers came to the residence to loot cattle. ‘The police were investigating into the incident’, he added.
