A loaded truck carrying electric poll hit a bicycle rider near Chenai Bazar under Rajrhat upazila in Kurigram district on Monday evening. The bicycle rider was killed on the spot.The deceased was identified as Mizanur Rahman 35 son of Akbar Ali of village Nayarhar under Panchagram union in Lalmonirhat district.Locals blocked the road after the accident causing all kinds of vehicles movement remained suspended for an hour.Later police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.Officer-in-charge of Rajarhat police station Mokhlesur Rahman admitted the incident. The driver fled away after the incident but the killer truck was brought to thana, he added.
