Planning Minister MA Mannan said students are future soldiers of the country and the modern, science enriched and human Bangladesh will be build in their hands.In this field, there are most important roles of the engineers. The planning minister disclosed it while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the AK Khan Foundation funded newly built Shamsun Nahar Hall at CUET( Chattogram University of Engineering & Technology) campus on Thursday as Chief Guest.
The minister also said CUET campus is very nice, decorative and eye catching with beautiful education friendly environment .The contribution of AK Khan Foundation through constructing a modern students’ hall is really praiseworthy and imitateable. The inauguration ceremony was presided by CUET Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr.Rafiqul Alam . Among others, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing committee on Ministry of Railway ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP , Wasica Ayesha Khan MP, CAG Md. Muslimuddin Chowdhury, CDA Chairman Jahirul Alam Dob ash, and Trustee Secretary of AK Khan Foundation Salahuddin Kashem Khan were present on the occasion as chief guest. In beginning of the inaugural session, the life stories of AK Khan and Shamsun Nahar was presented by Shamsun Nahar Hall student Ashraful Jannat and Fahmida Hamid. The hall was built at a cost of Tk.18 cr funded by AK Khan Foundation . The 6-storied residential hall comprising seating capacity of 500 female students .
The special guest ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP told that the railway track from Chattogram to CUET campus is expected to be implemented by 2022 . Besides, efforts is undergoing to built an IT Village with the concept of Silicon Valley in CUET campus .
The local lawmaker vows to extend all out cooperations for the purpose of IT village . On concluding session of the program, CUET vice chancellor handed over Honourary Memoir to the chief guest .
