Rly launches eviction drive

Bangladesh Railway, East Zone authority launched eviction drive against the illegal possession of rail land near Chittagong Stadium area behind the Chittagong Officers Club yesterday.
The illegal occupiers grabbing these lands for decade to decade . The occupiers grabbed about 2 acres of land behind the officers club and installed different installations since long. A mobile court of district administration accompanied by Railway magistrate and Railway Real Estate department officials launched the drive. Executive Magistrate Md. Shahdat Hossain led the eviction drive f rom 9 am yesterday. From the post liberation period , these illegal occupiers are residing in the area . There are a number railway staff quarters before the liberation of the country and after liberation, these quarters were demolished which were grabbed by the influential quarters and developed their dwelling houses, shops etc.
Mobile court evicts Illegal structures in Rangamati: Mobile Court of Rangamati district administration evicted illegal structures in Rangamati town on Wednesday .
Mobile court evicted illegal structures from inside the Rangamati Park at Researve Bazar area at 10am today.
Executive Magistrate Nazmul Islam and AKM Golam Murshed Khan led the eviction work.
Executive Magistrate Nazmul Islam said earlier during the eviction illegal structures were removed from the middle of the island.
He said unfortunately few days after eviction three families repaired their structures in the island and started living there.
He also said this time illegal structures were removed to maintain security and decency of Rangamati park.
