The Chief Engineer of Roads and Highways Department Md. Abdus Sabur instructed the officials of the department working in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHTs) to implement the ongoing projects of the region properly and in time, a source of the department said.
The chief engineer gave the instructions in a meeting held on October 8 atthe conference room of Rangamati circle’s Roads and Highways Department during his visit at the hillyarea.
He was informed about progression of different ongoing projects, completed projects, and projects under planningof Rangamati, Khagrachhori and Bandarban hill districtsusing projectorby officials concerned of the department.
Besides, he was informed about the conditions of 1191.62 kilometre existing roads under the department of the three hill districts.
The chief engineer inspected different development andrenovationworks and gave necessary instructions to officials concerned to implement the works properly.
Md. Jahangir Alam, Superintendent Engineer of Rangamati Road Circle, Additional Chief Engineer of Chittagong Zone Md. Abdul Wahid, Executive Engineer of Rangamati Md. Shah Arefin, Executive Engineer of Khagrachhori Md. Johirul Islam, Excutive Engineer of Bandarban Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Executive Engineer of Chittagongworkshop division Mominul Islam and Executive Engineer of Rangamati workshop division Sifat Afrin were present among othersin the meeting presided by the chief engineer.
