English movie, The Day After

Many years ago, I witnessed an English movie titled “The Day After.” The subject matter of the story was the dire consequence of the nuclear war.
On one fine morning, the Americans saw hundreds of Soviet missiles and bomber planes with nuclear arsenal sweeping the US sky and thereafter a total holocaust.
In reality, the war did not take place; rather, the Soviet Union collapsed due to the leadership crisis. But on two occasions the world reached the doorstep of the nuclear war between 1976 and 1981 because of the defective radar system. However, in less than a second, it became possible to avert the great catastrophe.
Similarly, I think there will be no large scale war between India and Pakistan because both of them have nuclear teeth. Yet, if it takes place truly due to the leadership foolishness, tens of thousands of Indians for security reason will cross the international borders in the east, which will not be a good news for both Bangladesh and Myanmar.
So, let us appeal to India and Pakistan to negotiate the Kashmir issue for honourable settlement.
