Euro: No clear favourites
The 15th edition of the European Championship (Euro) is scheduled to take place between Friday 10 June and Sunday 10 July in France. With the expansion of the tournament to 24 teams, the finals will include a round of 16 following the group stages for the first time.
Group A: Albania, France, Romania, Switzerland
Group B: England, Russia, Slovakia, Wales
Group C: Germany, Northern Ireland, Poland, Ukraine
Group D: Croatia, Czech Republic, Spain, Turkey
Group E: Belgium, Italy, Ireland, Sweden
Group F: Austria, Hungary, Iceland, Portugal
So far Germany and Spain won thrice each, France twice, Italy, Soviet Union, Holland, Czechoslovakia, Denmark and Greece won one each. Spain are the defending champions while, France are the hosts. The United Kingdom have three representatives namely England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It is hard to predict who will smile at length.
