New Badminton Queen

Exit the dragon, Enter the tiger. The line reminds us of the famous Chinese movie of Hong Kong, a former British colony, in 1976. The tragic assassination of legendary Martial Art expert actor Bruce Lee worked as inspiration for the initiative. The movie was directed by Tso Nam Lee and produced by Wong Fung.
The film tells us the story of a Tiger, who was a student of Bruce Lee. He came to Hong Kong in search of answers regarding the mysterious death of his master. The character Suzy Yung represents Betty Ting Pei. She and Tiger teamed up and took on the Hong Kong mafia in search for the truth regarding the death of the Martial Art legend, Bruce Lee
Many years later in December 2014 and March 2015, two Indians dethroned China from the Badminton world and installed India as the new king of Men’s and Women’s singles event. They are Srikantha and Saina Nehwal. Consecutive successes of Saina earned her World No.1 title as Badminton player, which no Indian even dreamt of in view of the Chinese juggernaut for years. Now it will not be irrelevant if we give headline, Exit China, Enter India.
We think that the 120 crore Indians should be proud of Saina Nehwal and Srikantha for their perfect victories in the China and India Opens Badminton within a range of three months only.
In this regard, I take an opportunity to add that our concerned sports bodies should take lessons from the successes of Saina and Srikantha to discover talents from the primary school level.
We should stress upon shooting, archery, badminton and gymnastics. In this disciplines, it is possible to earn gold medals, as our shooters did in the past in the Commonwealth Games on two occasions at least. What is needed now is initiative with good planning
