The transitory period

Every man and woman shall die. But everything will not be finished with it. Death means separation of souls from bodies. We read in the Al-Quran, Surah Az-Zumar, Verse No. 42 “Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in it there are signs for a people who give thought”.
The separation of bodies from souls is the beginning of a new life, otherwise called, the Transitory or Trance period, which means a state in which souls will remain absent from bodies for certain period of time
But souls will continue to receive light from Angels and they will not die, but bodies will be vanished into dust, fire and water.
Man during the Trance period will dream either pleasant dreams or dreadful ones, as we dream now. If good dream, we become happy; but if terrible one, we become sorry and petrified.
On the Resurrection Day, souls will either be reunited with old bodies or given new ones in order to put them to trial. With the delivery of Judgment, corporeal reward and punishment will begin. The two Angels recording our every moment’s action will produce evidence and witnesses without fail. In addition, man will give evidence against himself.
The ungrateful to Allah, the liars and the wicked will be lodged in the Hell fire, while the righteous will dwell in the Paradise.
