The Raman Lamba T20 Cricket Tournament will begin at the City Club Ground in Mirpur on February 14.
Raman Lamba was an Indian cricketer who played in four Tests and 32 One Day Internationals, mainly as a batsman. He died in 1998, three days after a ball hit him in the head while he was fielding in a local match in Bangladesh.
To remember his unwanted death a cricket tournament was started at the Jahangirnagar University playground in 2013. This year the second edition of the cricket tournament is going to be held remembering the death of Raman Lamba.
A total of six teams splitting into two groups will take part in the cricket meet.
Dhaka Cricketers, Dhaka Indian, American & EFIRD Bangladesh Limited are in Group A while Sri Lankan Cricket Club-Dhaka, Ace Tex Limited, Bangla Trac are in Group B.
The inaugural match will be held between Dhaka Indian and Dhaka Cricketers, which will begin at 9.30 am on February 14 while the day’s another match between Ace Tex Limited and Bangla Trac will start at 1.15 pm.

The champions of Group A will take on the runners-up of Group B in the first semifinal on March 7 at 9.30 am while the champions of Group B will meet the runners-up of Group A in the second semifinal at 1.15 pm on the same day.
The winners of the two semifinals will face each other in the final at on March 14 at 10.30 am .
