Rejecting complaint of irregularities in plot allotment, Rajdhani Unnyan Kartripakkha’s (RAJUK) Chairman Nurul Huda threw an open challenge to the critics, saying no corruption took place during his tenure at RAJUK.
He gave the challenge on Thursday while leaving ACC after facing interrogation over the allotment of Purbachal and Uttara Residential plots. ACC Deputy Director (DD) Jatan Kumar questioned him.
“It is an open challenge to probe that I committed any corruption. In truth, no corruption occurred at Rajuk during my tenure”, he said. When asked, why was he summoned?, He said that ACC asked him about a VIP person. The RAJUK Chairman, however, did not disclose the name.
Sources in ACC said, Nurul Huda testified about former Housing and Public Works Secretary Khandakar Shawkat Hossain. ACC found the evidence of irregularities over plots’ allotment. ACC on Wednesday asked Nurul Huda to appear in the commission’s head office by 9:00am on Thursday.
ACC Deputy Director (DD) Jatan Kumar said that ACC needed Nurul Huda’s statement in connection with allotment of Purbachal and Uttara Residential plots. The commission is investigating irregularities in allotment of plots in those two projects.
