Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Thursday forecast rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind with hails at isolated places over the country in 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places,” said a met office press release here.
Wednesday’s highest temperature was recorded 33.1 degrees Celsius at Teknaf in Barishal division and Thursday’s minimum temperature 18.2 degrees Celsius at Nikli in Dhaka division.
Day and night temperature may rise by (1-2)ø C over the country, the release said.
