Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at a few places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions in 24-hour as of 9am today.
Moreover, one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions may see rain in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am from yesterday, a BMD bulletin said here.
Light to moderate fog may occur at some places over the country today’s morning while night and day temperature may fall by (1-3) oC over the country.
Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining Northwestern part of Bangladesh, the bulletin said, adding that seasonal low lies over South Bay.
The highest rainfall in the last 24-hour as of 6am yesterday was recorded 12 mm at Tetulia in Rangpur.
The maximum temperature in the country was recorded 32.8 degrees Celsius on Friday at Sitakunda in Chattogram and Saturday’s minimum temperature 12.0 degrees Celsius at Ishurdi in Rajshahi.
