Rain with gusty wind likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday forecast rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at one or two places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and the region of Panchagarh in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and the region of Panchagarh in 24-hour till 9am today,” said a Met Office bulletin issued on Friday morning.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, the bulletin added.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded 60 mm at Cox’s Bazar in Chattogram division.
Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 33.5 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram division and minimum temperature on Friday was 20.0 degrees Celsius at Badalgachhi in Rajshahi division.
