The two-day long Purba Group Limited Cup Golf Tournament-2022 ended through a colorful ceremony on Rangpur Golf and Country Club (RGCC) ground in the city on Saturday afternoon.
More than 100 regular male and female golfers of different Golf Clubs from across the country participated in the male, female, junior and sub- junior groups of the tournament, a press release said today.
The Purba Group Limited sponsored the tournament organised by RGCC on its ground located on the Ghagot riverbank in the outskirts of the city.
In the Male Group, Brigadier General Mohammad Nur Hossain, bsp, psc, secured the first position while Colonel Md Yasir Jahan Hossain, psc, won the best gross award.
Major General (Retd) Baki became the runner up while Brigadier General Khondker Shafikuzzaman, psc, became the second runner up.
Major Md Ashrafuzzaman won the maximum par award while Lieutenant Colonel Raihan Ahmed, psc, won the minimum pat award.
Major Md Ashraf won the longest drive award while Major Md Shams Akhter got the nearest to pin award.
In the Female Group, Arina Shahnewaz became the winner while Mrs. Nasrine Haque Boby got the runner up award.
