Mostafa Masud, Primary Education Officer of Barisal Sadar upazila ordered to be released immediately for alleged irregularities and corruption.
Mahabub Elahi, Divisional Education Officer, acknowledging the fact said that UPEO Mostafa Masud ordered to be stand-released and report at the directorate of primary education.
Mostafa Masud was accused for deputation-business and irregularities against appointing 35 fourth class employees (MLSS), sources said.
Mostafa Masud for transferring about 50 teachers from remote areas to city, town or areas near home by doing deputation-business taking at the rate if Tk 5,000 per head. This activity also caused teachers crisis at the village schools, sources added.
Nizamul Huq, member of upazila primary education committee, said , Tk 35 lakhs were returned as the UPEO failed to appoint 35 fourth class employees on last fiscal.
Mahbub Elahi, divisional primary education officer, said Mostafa Masud was accused for different types of irregularities and so stand released from his post after investigation.
Mostafa Masud denying the allegations said he was transferred as per rule of the government service as he served more than five-year at the same post.
