Private hospital at Raozan to be turned into 250- bed : Karim

Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Railway ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP said existing 50- bed Pioneer Hospita l at Noapara in South Raozan on Chittagong-Kaptai Highway will be upgraded into a full-fledged hospital very shortly.
He disclosed this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre at Pioneer Hospital at Raozan recently as Chief Guest.
The chief guest in his brief deliverations disclosed that a 450 -megawatt capacity power sub-station of Matarbari Coal Turbine Power Plant will be built at Raozan shortly.
The foundation stone of the power substation will be laid in a suitable location of south Raozan .
Earlier, a 26-megawatt capacity plant was built at south Raozan .26- megawatt power plant, pink city and pioneer hospital was built under private sector initiatives, he added .
Chairman of the Hospital and child specialist Dr Fazal Karim presided over the inaugural session duly conducted by Dr Sumon Chowdhury Shantu.
The Chief Guest in his brief deliverations said Noapara is the commercial capital of Raozan and this southern part of the upazila will be development with the establishment of fire service station, child development centre, IT centre and Park, food godown, South Raozan thana with Highway police and railway track expansion upto CUET.
He further added that all investors in the proposed 250 beds hospital urged for procurement of medicare equipment in Pioneer Hospital like Singapore’s specialist hospitals. Managing director of the Hospital Shuvamoy Raju delivered address of welcome in it .
Principal of Rangamati Medical College Dr.Tipu sultan, Noapara UP Chairman Alhaj Didarul Alam, addressed as special guests in it. Among others, Urkirchar UP Chairman Abdul Jabbar Sohel and the local elite were present on the occasion.
